From Humble Beginnings
Kenya is known for great coffee production. The acidic soil in the highlands of central Kenya, as well as just the right amount of sunlight and rainfall provide excellent conditions for growing coffee plants. Coffee from Kenya is well known for its intense flavor, full body, and pleasant aroma.
Chiru Coffee Connection was established in 2014 by Christine and it is based in Baltimore Maryland. Christine was born and raised in Nyeri, Central Kenya,a coffee producing community. She knows and understands firsthand the impact coffee farming has on the community. Now living in the United States, where the demand for high quality coffee continues to rise, she strives to make accessible the quality coffee to consumers and roasters in the United States initially while at the same time ensuring that the farmers also receive compensation for the same that allows them to remain profitable and run sustainable farms.
Our great coffee comes from amongst the most amazing farms in the region operated by farmers who work tirelessly and dedicate themselves to the production of the best coffee. The growing demand for specialty coffee will result in a win-win for both the farmers and consumer if all receive a fair price for the product.
